Always read newspapers with a pair of scissors I decide for myself, if I’m the last on the reading line, otherwise with a marker (third-generation article cutter and passer around, at least), peeling vegetables unto newspaper remains the most efficient way to discover overlooked articles of interest. Keep some newspapers whole for the chance of dipping in again and again, Le Monde Diplomatique and The London Review of Books, very definitely, as there must be a life around the corner for reading everything, and reading books and reading books again. Coming into the colder months, a good thought.
