my apprenticeship

This was week three of my apprenticeship with painter Patrick Hall, I love it, I enjoyed drawing with charcoal on the floor, I even got praised today, but the enjoyment was enough, the feeling that I was really letting stuff happen. This is becoming my good wednesday thing, talking, drawing, sharing lunch. I had brought this delicious chopped liver I cooked yesterday from the four-year old billy goat we slaughtered on monday and whose carcass is hanging before being turned into sausages and salamis (A. lent us his professional sausage stuffer so we may not sweat as much as we usually do over the job). I had caramelized a lot of onions very slowly with a little honey, added some pepper and chilli flakes and then added the just undercooked chopped liver. Good food, after good work. Learning.
