In the precious sunlight of a day in February : hazelnuts collected in 2014 sitting in a bowl made in 2015 (the very few nuts that grew last year were left to the squirrels and mice to eat), half-read books in every corner : am slowly gathering strength and inspiration for a few seasonal big jobs : barrelling manure, digging up and planting trees, clearing the pond a little before the frogs come to lay this year’s eggs, packing up our life in boxes and finding a house for us to move into…

    • Upheaval is the word (and being an immigrant hoarder makes the idea of packing up pretty daunting). Thank you so much for the good wishes, I need that, our fingers and toes crossed, hoping for a little miracle : the house we need.
